So, what are the objectives for the future?

As I near the end of the Master of Arts in Education Technology (MAET) program at Michigan State University, I take a moment to reflect on what has transpired in my professional life over the past two years. I believe that the MAET program has been a significant factor in my ability to grow and develop as an expert. I was able to secure a new position by utilizing the resources that I developed throughout the course of the program. In my new role in Dallas, I will educate female future generations with prepared skills. Since I have moved on to a new phase in my professional life, it is time for me to consider my future goals: Incorporating technology into my lessons, creating teacher-oriented podcast shows, and building social connections with other teachers.

Even though I will be graduating in a few months, the very fundamental thing I want to accomplish is to incorporate technology into my lessons in a way that is both gradual and ongoing for the foreseeable future. This may sound like a very lofty ambition, but even a modest step in the right direction can make technology more approachable. For example, if I make greater use of my interactive whiteboard in the classroom, my students will have an easier time immediately comprehending the material. In the long run, one of my goals is to implement additional technology-based courses, not only as stand-alone components like an end-of-semester project but also using the various carefully crafted resources that are included in regular classroom instruction.

Despite the fact that I adore coming up with engaging lessons using technology, I have a limited amount of stamina. Therefore, the utilization of numerical web-based tools is an effective solution for accomplishing the objective of incorporating technology into the daily lives of students. Students get access to an endless number of practice problems through the use of platforms such as IXl.com. Having technology present in each of my classes will feel much less overwhelming and more manageable for me if I make use of these resources.

As a result of my role as a math teacher, the first primary objective that I set for myself was to find ways to improve my student's academic performance through the application of technology.  Deltamath is an illustration of a resource that can be useful for incorporating technology into the regular math classroom. Students will be given low-stakes assignments to attempt as many times as they like, and the tool will also provide thorough explanations after each attempt. I'll be able to catch any misunderstood instructions from students with the help of this.  Be more general in the role of educator; hence, one of the goals I am going to accomplish is to continue recording more education podcast shows. In the beginning, I decided to start making podcasts because it was one of my hobbies, and later, I became a club counselor for my students' Podcast Club. The transition is that, as part of one of the course requirements for "Electronic Assessment for Teaching and Learning," I first recorded a teacher-focused episode. It was such a worthwhile experience to use the podcast as a platform to share experiences and opinions in order to establish social connections with other teachers. As a result, I would like to keep creating podcast shows that are facing educators. In order to achieve this objective,I will not only invite my colleagues, but also other educators from all over the world, to talk about all subjects that educators find to be of interest. Buzzsprout is a free platform that enables content creators to create new podcasts. The lessons will assist me in developing a new podcast brand.

The International Baccalaureate is almost universally acknowledged to be a prestigious and superior educational program. You frequently hear positive things said about the IB. But, are you familiar with the IBDP language B program? In light of this rigorous educational structure, what kinds of challenges can a language B teacher confront, and how might these challenges manifest themselves notably in the context of an immersion school?"IBDP-Today" is being presented to you by Hu Laoshi and Qian Laoshi, so let's give it a listen.

Although I believe that creating podcasts is an excellent approach to creating social ties with other teachers, I would like to find additional methods. In such a small high school, as the only precalculus teacher (and the only two high school math teachers), I don't encounter many people in my professional field. Even though I will be teaching the same material each year, it is still good to receive annual updates on curriculum trends and how to incorporate new ideas into existing lessons, because there are no best lessons, only better ones. It is advantageous to attend conferences to observe how other teachers approach the same themes in order to obtain periodic updates on the current education viewpoint. The Conference For The Advancement Of Mathematics Teaching will be conducted in July in the near future. The MAET community also offers me the opportunity to attend free seminars where I may learn about the latest innovations in technology. As a teacher, I'm really looking forward to learning from the experiences of my colleagues during these meetings.

So, these are some of the objectives for the future.  I've been in school since first grade, and I feel like I'm finally ready to make the transition to a full-time teacher. I am grateful that I will still be in a school setting, as I find the academic community to be inspiring and motivating, and as a constant reminder that one is never too old to learn.
